Delete your account

You can delete your FriendZone account at any time, directly from within the app. No emails or support tickets required.

Steps

1. Open the FriendZone app and sign in.
2. Tap the settings icon in the top right.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

What gets deleted

• Your account, profile, username, and display name.
• Your zone memberships.
• Your messages on our servers.
• Your encryption key — once destroyed, the encrypted copies of your messages on our servers can no longer be decrypted, including by you.

What we may keep

Deleted records are marked as deleted ("soft-deleted") and may remain in our database for a limited period for operational and abuse-prevention reasons before being purged. Server logs and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period set by our infrastructure providers and then discarded.

What we can't delete

Other zone members already have decrypted (or independently decryptable) copies of messages and shared content you sent them on their own devices. Those copies remain under their control and account deletion does not remove them.

Need help?

If you can't access the app or have any issue with account deletion, email dgilkbiz@gmail.com and we'll delete your account for you. Please send the request from the email address associated with your account so we can verify your identity.
