Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FriendZone app on Android, iOS, and desktop ("FriendZone", "the Service"). By using FriendZone, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FriendZone. In jurisdictions where a higher age of digital consent applies (for example, 16 in parts of the European Union), you must meet that age. By using FriendZone, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for keeping the device(s) you sign in on secure. Notify us promptly at dgilkbiz@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FriendZone to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm any person.
• Share content that is illegal, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or otherwise prohibited by law.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or attempt to use the Service for advertising or commercial promotion.
• Interfere with the Service, including by attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, probe for vulnerabilities (other than good-faith security research disclosed to us), overload our infrastructure, or bypass access controls.
• Use FriendZone in violation of any applicable law, or to facilitate any of the above.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We act on reports within 24 hours: content or conduct that violates these Terms may be removed, and the responsible user may be suspended or ejected from FriendZone without notice.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages, location data, and other content you create or share through FriendZone ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and deliver Your Content as necessary to operate the Service for you and the recipients you designate. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our servers, except to the extent required by law or to enforce these Terms.

You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to share it.

5. End-to-end encryption and moderation

Messages, photos, and location coordinates in FriendZone are end-to-end encrypted. We do not have access to their contents and are not able to proactively moderate them. If another user sends you content that violates these Terms, you may block or remove that user from your zones, and you may report the conduct to us at dgilkbiz@gmail.com. We may act on reports based on the metadata and context available to us, including suspending or terminating accounts.

6. Service availability and changes

We provide FriendZone on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, and the Service may experience downtime or interruptions. We do not guarantee that messages will always be delivered on time or that data will never be lost.

7. Termination

You may stop using FriendZone at any time and may delete your account from within the app (see Delete your account). We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Service or other users. On account deletion, your account is marked as deleted and your encryption key is destroyed; see our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FriendZone is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure against every threat or that end-to-end encryption is suitable for every threat model.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will FriendZone, its operator, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FriendZone and its operator from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of Your Content or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
